Quick and easy pizza dough [1 hour]

Sometimes you just get a craving for a delicious pizza. And then it's great to be able to quickly make your own without a fuss.

This is our easy 1 hour pizza dough. Precisely for when you get a spontaneous pizza craving.

Let's get started...

Tips

Before you begin making the dough, you should put the Baking Steel (or your pizza stone) in the oven and turn it up to maximum heat.

To make your dough rise faster, add lemon juice or vinegar and a little more yeast than you normally would.

Ingredients

  • 2 dl water (20 degrees C)
  • 300 grams flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 10 grams yeast (two big peas in size)
  • 1 tablespoon lemonjuice or vinegar
  • 5 tablespoons oliveoil (or other vegetable oil)

Method

  1. Dissolve the yeast in the 20 degrees C water.
  2. Add the rest of the ingredients.
  3. Knead the dough until it releases the bowl (Knead time depends on the type of flour).
  4. Then let the dough rise warmly for 15 minutes.
  5. Wet one hand and "turn" the dough in the bowl. Dig down between the dough and the bowl so the dough releases the bowl again.
  6. Let the pizza dough rise for another 15 minutes.
  7. Sprinkle flour on your table  and pour the doug onto the table.
  8. Divide the dough into two balls, sprinkle some flour on them and "stretch" them up. Let the balls rise warmly and covered for 30 minutes.
  9. Now your pizza dough is ready to be formed / stretched. The "Ikea-method" is really good for this dough.

The IKEA-method

Why is IKEA butting in?

They don't necessarily have to, but the Swedish furniture giant happens to be selling a bowl that has proven to be perfect for shaping pizzas.

Their serving bowl "Blanda Blank" in stainless steel, which, turned upside down, is the ideal helper when it comes to making the pizza thin and round.

You simply take your ready pizza dough, sprinkle flour on both dough and bowl, and then start pulling / pressing the pizza dough down over the bowl. The result is a thin round pizza.

Now your turn

That's easy, isn't it? Before you know it, you'll be enjoying a nice home-made pizza.

We'd love the hear your thoughts and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to comment or write.
